Google Maps Business View updated to allow users to see decked out displays in NY, London
In a Friday post on the Latlong blog, Internet search giant Google has announced updated its Google Maps Business View feature to make Christmas and holiday window shopping much more convenient for Internet users, without requiring them to step out in the cold weather and make way through the crowds.
The updated Business View feature unfolds for Internet users digital panoramic views of the festive displays at certain locations in New York and London.
As a result of the update, the Business View feature will include detailed imagery of some iconic locations decorated for Christmas. These locations include Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's, Bloomingdale's and other bigwig retailers in New York; and Selfridges and Liberty in London.
According to the details shared by Google, Internet users can catch a glimpse of the elaborate festive displays at the mentioned stores, provided that they a 'See Inside' marker on Maps, Search and Google+. For accessing the holiday window displays, users simply have to locate the store on Google Maps and then click 'See Inside.'
About the updated Google Maps Business View feature, Google said in the Latlong blog post: "You can see decked out displays in New York and London-without braving the cold weather, lugging bags around or fighting for sidewalk space with fellow shoppers."
