Report hints at new Nokia Lumia 830 handset with ‘Nokia by Microsoft’ branding

A recent report by GSM Arena has revealed that a new Windows Phone handset has been spotted in Chinese search engine Baidu. As per the report, the handset is apparently the Lumia 830 smartphone --- successor to the Lumia 820 handset which hit the markets a couple of years back.

The image accompanying the report about the purported Nokia Lumia 830 smartphone shows that the handset will have a 4.5-inch screen, and will be equipped with a 13-megapixel primary PureView camera with Zeiss optics.

The handset's design, going by the leaked image, is a plastic build which appears to be encased in metal-looking strips.

The most interesting part of the GSM Arena report about the supposed Nokia Lumia 830 handset is that the leaked image shows the handset branded 'Nokia by Microsoft' --- the first-of-its-kind branding in a Nokia handset.

With Microsoft having acquired Nokia's handset business, new Nokia handsets are being gradually launched into the market by Microsoft in an evident indication that the company wants to show that it is working with the Finnish mobile manufacturer in developing Windows Phone-based handsets. However, it is being speculated that 'Nokia' branding will completely disappear in the future.
