Apple OS X Yosemite Available for Download
Apple has released the OS X “Apple Seed” beta testing program today and the company has encouraged users to download and test the system before it will be officially launched later this year. Apple has shifted its strategy to include the common Mac users to provide feedback to make the operating system even better.
User feedback is an important factor in development of any product and when the users are in big numbers, the feedback would be much more realistic than a beta testing on small group of users. Apple announced OS X Yosemite last month at the WWDC developer conference. For first time after year 2000, Apple users will be able to test the next version before the official release.
Apple has not announced the release date for the new version. Users with OS Mavericks will be able to download the beta testing version of OS X Yosemite.
OS X will have better encryption, better notifications, new edition of Safari, redesigned Spotlight and many other exciting features. Some of the features will only be available in the official release. The beta testing should only be downloaded by users who are interested in testing the system and it may not be a stable version as it is still in testing phase.
