Nintendo launching ‘Super Mario Galaxy’ for Wii U Virtual Console

In an announcement made via a statement released on its website, Nintendo said that the ‘Super Mario Galaxy’ game will be available for the Wii U Virtual Console on Christmas Eve.

Announcing the imminent availability of the ‘Super Mario Galaxy’ version for Wii U Virtual Console, Nintendo said that the Wii 3D platforming classic will be launched as a download for the Wii U console on December 24. The game will be priced at $20.

The announcement implies that all the much-loved gravitational and planetoid action of the Super Mario Galaxy game -- boasting a bold 3D design -- will soon be introduced to Nintendo’s latest gaming console.

Moreover, with the launch of the Super Marion Galaxy version for the Wii U Virtual Console, gamers will soon be able to play several Super Mario titles -- including Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Super Mario 3D World games -- all on the same console.

As such, the only Wii 3D core Super Mario games which will still not be available for the Wii U console will be Super Mario Sunshine for GameCube, and Super Mario 3D Land for the 3DS.
