Apple launches public beta of Apple Music on Sonos
Apple has announced the rollout of a public beta of its June-launched Apple Music streaming music service for the popular Sonos multi-room audio system.
Announcing that the public beta of Apple Music on Sonos is now available, Apple has revealed that the beta will be limited in some areas. The company has also disclosed that the final version of Apple Music for Sonos will be released early next year.
As a result of the launch of the public beta of Apple Music service on Sonos, the owners of Sonos wireless speakers will now be available to use their speakers with Apple’s streaming music service.
Going by the details shared by Apple, Sonos users who join the Apple Music beta program on its website will be able to stream songs from For You, New, Radio and My Music through Sonos apps on a number of devices including iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and Windows PC.
To join the Apple Music beta program, Sonos users have to follow a few simple steps. They have to first open the Sonos app; and Tap the ‘Settings’ option, followed by ‘Advanced Settings.’ Thereafter, they have to click the ‘Beta Program’ option; update their Sonos system; and add Apple Music from the ‘Add Music Services’ menu.
