First unit of Bentley’s Bentayga SUV rolls off assembly line in Crewe, UK
According to reports, the first unit of Bentley’s brand new Bentayga SUV has recently rolled off the company’s production line at its Crewe, UK, headquarters.
The first unit of Bentley's Bentayga SUV was handcrafted across 130 hours; and it passed through the company’s new bodystore, paint shop and assembly line; all of which were part of a £840 million investment program.
The first Bentayga SUV unit features an Anthracite body color, and a cabin which boasts the best-quality wood and leather. It is equipped with a twin-turbo W12 engine which has the capability to deliver 600hp, and takes barely four seconds to accelerate from zero to 100km/h. It has a top speed of more than 180mph.
Some previous reports had speculated that Bentley will apparently move the first unit of its new Bentayga SUV to Balmoral, Scotland, where it will be used by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, for her "hunting expeditions." However, recent reports have revealed that the first unit of the Bentayga SUV will probably head for Bentley’s Heritage Collection.
With the production of Bentley’s Bentayga SUV having commenced in Crewe, Bentley is expected to deliver the initial batch of the SUV, costing £160,000, to customers in January 2016.
