Apple’s 12.9-inch iPad Pro tablet hit the markets this week

Tech giant Apple launched its much-reported big-screen tablet -- iPad Pro -- this week. The tablet features a stunning 12.9-inch Retina display with a 2732-x-2048-pixel resolution; and is one of the best-looking tablet screens thus far.

The cost of the new iPad Pro tablet starts at $799 for the Wi-Fi-only model with 32GB of onboard storage. The model with cellular connectivity is priced at $1,079.

The iPad Pro comes with optional accessories like a detachable keyboard and an electronic stylus – ‘Apple Pencil’ - which cost $169 and 499 respectively. The availability of the optional accessories for the new iPad Pro tablet is an indication that the tablet is specifically aimed at architects, illustrators, animators, and other ‘creative’ users on the go.

The new, big-screen Apple tablet is 6.9mm thin, and it weighs only 1.57 pounds without a Smart Cover and Smart Case. The tablet is available in three color options: Gold, Silver, and Space Gray.

Some of the key features of the iPad Pro, other than its 12.9-inch Retina display, include an A9X dual-core processor running at approximately 2.25GHz; 4GB of RAM: an 8-megapixel rear-facing iSight camera capable of shooting 1080p HD video; a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera which can shoot 720p video; 802.11ac Wi-Fi technology and MIMO; and four speakers. The tablet also supports 20 LTE bands and up to 150 Mbps transfer speeds on LTE.
