Amazon Music app updated to version 5.0

Amazon has released an updated version of its official Music streaming music app. The new version of the Amazon Music app is version 5.0; and it updates the app with some noteworthy new features.

The latest update of the Amazon Music app underscores Amazon’s persistent efforts to bring about a gradual yet steady improvement in the app over the years.

One of the most significant features which the updated Amazon Music app brings along is that it gives users the ability to download music from their personal library and/or Amazon Prime Music straight to the microSD card of their handset or tablet, provided that their devices come with support for microSD card.

The new capability will be particularly useful for users who have budget handsets because such handsets often depend on expandable storage capacity.

Moreover, the updated Amazon Music app also boasts support for Android Wear; thereby giving the users of Android Wear-powered smartwatches the ability to manage music directly from their wrists, including the capability to control the playback of the songs which they may already be listening to.

As such, the Android Wear-specific functions in the Amazon Music app enable users to browse for new music on their smartwatches without touching their handsets. Thus far, Amazon Music users could use only the default music controls for the standard play/pause and forward/back music functions.
