Facebook Inc Expands Search Horizon

Expanding its search horizon to add to the knowledge pool of the users, Facebook Inc has announced that important topics will also be included in the search engine.

The company has announced a promising social network with the new search engine.

“Today, we’re updating Facebook Search so that in addition to friends and family, you can find out what the world is saying about topics that matter to you,” VP of Search, Tom Stocky said.

Stocky added that the new update will be available on Android as well as Apple devices. The update will run on desktops by default. This has been a competitive move by Facebook. Earlier, Alphabet Inc and Twitter had started the service.

The prime idea is to capture the reactions of Facebook users on social issues and bring them on to the search engine to ensure more and more users read them.

In the beginning of this month, Twitter Inc had introduced the service called ‘Moments’ to grab real-time chat. The new bringing micro-blog’s content on top of the search engine.

The inclusion criteria will be the most popular posts made by the users. People are active on reacting to popular links on Facebook and this practice will encourage participation, said Facebook officials.

Facebook Inc has the long-term ideal to make search a more friendly and exciting experience, they added. This will add news value to the interface and add to the popularity of Facebook.
