Sony unveils its Xperia Z5 smartphone lineup

Sony has recently unveiled its Xperia Z5 lineup of smartphones. The lineup comprises three new Xperia handsets --- the Xperia Z5; the Xperia Z5 Compact; and the Xperia Z5 Premium.

The newly-unveiled Sony Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact smartphones are standard updates to the company's Xperia flagship line; while the 5.5-inch Xperia Z5 Premium will be the first handset to boast a 4K display.

Announcing the new Xperia Z5 lineup, Sony said that all the three new handsets will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, as well as the Adreno 430GPU; with the power button on the handsets also serving as a finger-print sensor. The Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium will come with 3GB RAM; while the Xperia Z5 Compact will have 2GB RAM.

All the three Xperia Z5 handsets will come with 32GB of built-in storage capacity; though the Xperia Z5 Premium will also feature a microSD card slot for an addition to the storage capacity to up to 200GB, so as to give users enough storage space for their 4K content.

The Xperia Z5 smartphone lineup will feature a 23-megapixel ExmorRS sensor sporting camera with a 1/2.3-inch sensor size; and all the three new handsets in the lineup will run the Sony flavoured Android OS version 5.1.1.
