Facebook updates Moments app to add new video feature

Facebook rolled out the first major update to its June-launched 'Moments' photo sharing app on Tuesday. The updated version of Moments app is now available on the App Store and Google Play.

The most noteworthy addition made by Facebook to the Moments app via the update is the addition of a video feature. The new feature gives the Moments app the ability to automatically create video collages based on the users' groups of photos.

By default, the auto-generation of video collages, complete with music, by the updated Moments app is set for all 'moments' which have six or more photos.

The updated Moments app also offers the users 11 different music options for their video collages; thereby enabling the users to customize the video collages by changing the soundtrack. Moreover, users will also be able to remove photos and tag their friends.

If the photos grouped together by the Moments app in the video collages are not to the liking of the users, they can create their own video collages from scratch. These videos can also be shared out by users to their Facebook page directly.
