California Miss Amazing heads to National Miss Amazing pageant
Krystina Kingston, who was crowned California Miss Amazing around five months ago, is now preparing to participate in the national Miss Amazing pageant scheduled to take place later this month.
Miss Amazing pageant is meant for girls and women with disabilities. It builds and boosts confidence and self-esteem in females with disabilities by providing them with an opportunity to share their unique abilities and ambitions with a global audience.
Kingston will be among 100 contestants from thirty different states who will participate in the 2015 National Miss Amazing pageant, which is scheduled to happen at the Freud Playhouse at UCLA on 28th of July.
Karen Stagliano, the director of California Miss Amazing, said if a young lady is doing everything that she could do to challenge herself in her life and just enhance herself that was the person the pageant was looking for.
Stagliano added that parents from far and wide told her that the pageant revolutionized their children's viewpoints of themselves.
After being crowned California Miss Amazing earlier this year, 21-year-old Kingston said, "I was a little surprised. I'm like, 'Wow, I'm one of the queens' and I didn't know that."
Kingston works at a nonprofit, called the EXCEED Activity Center, which works for intellectually and physically challenged people in Perris.
