Taco Bell’s delivery service available in Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco
Popular restaurant chain Taco Bell on Wednesday announced the launch of delivery service in as many as 90 cities of three major regions, viz. Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The home delivery service, which Taco Bell launched in partnership with DoorDash, will benefit millions of drunk, hungry people in the three regions who don’t want to visit a restaurant in person to get something to eat.
The delivery service will cover Taco Bell’s whole menu, though prices and delivery costs will vary from area to area. When Taco Bell launched its new mobile app in 2014, the possibility of launching home delivery was already on its chief executive Brian Niccol’s mind.
Announcing the delivery service, Niccol said, “Delivery is yet another example of how we're using technology and innovation to respond to consumers' wants and needs, further evolving the Taco Bell experience for customers... we see a tremendous opportunity to bring the Taco Bell experience to fans where and when they want it most.”
Niccol added that the delivery service was the next step in catering to today's on-demand culture that was driving consumers’ behavior.
This is DoorDash’s first national restaurant partnership. The home delivery service also delivers food for restaurant chains like The Counter and California Pizza Kitchen.
