Satya Nadella outlines Microsoft’s agenda in internal memo to employees
On Thursday, Geekwire outed an internal memo sent by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to the company's employees. In the memo, which has not been made public, Nadella has told Microsoft employees that the company plans to invest in "three interconnected and bold ambitions."
The three "bold ambitions" mentioned by Nadella in the memo are: Reinventing productivity and business processes; building the "intelligent cloud;" and making computing more personal.
The mentioned goals underlined by Nadella for Microsoft employees essentially mark a reiteration of the CEO's 'cloud-first-mobile-first' slogan, which he has reached ever since taking over the reins of the company last year.
In his latest directive to the Microsoft employees, Nadella basically said in the internal memo that, going forward, the key responsibility of the employees is to "empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more."
Nadella also warned the employees that Microsoft may have to make some tough choices to achieve its ambitions. Asserting the need for Microsoft to innovate in new areas, Nadella said that the company may have to "execute against our plans, make some tough choices in areas where things are not working and solve hard problems in ways that drive customer value."
