New Mortal Kombat X character Tanya, Debuts this June
Get prepared for some more adrenaline rush as Mortal Kombat X, the fighting game will be adding a new character to its extensive roster in June. It would be the second character of the Kombat pass to be released.
The new character is named Tanya and will join the cast soon. Alongside Tanya, NetherRealm Studios will release a trio of costumes for Kano, Sonya Blade, and Liu Kang.
Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios has confirmed a second downloadable character and he informed that Tanya will arrive in early June but he did not ascertain the date of her revival.
Mortal Kombat X, the tenth main instalment in the Mortal Kombat video game series was released on April 14, 2015. Tanya had originally appeared in Mortal Kombat 4 and will now join the cast of Mortal Kombat X. The returning character is shrouded in mystery and little is known about it. The glimpses of the updated design of Tanya were recently revealed in Mortal Kombat X.
The Kombat pass of NetherRealm to be released in 2015 has 4 characters. The first character of the combat pack; Jason joined the cast in early May and had a favourable response. NetherRealm plans to release two additional characters after Jason and Tanya. The other two characters in the Kombat Pass include Tremor and the Predator which will be released at a later date. All the four characters can be purchased individually or as part of the Kombat Pass.
Previously, Boon has said that more characters including Rain, Sindel, and Baraka might be added to Mortal Kombat X in the future. All these three characters do pop up to challenge players in Story Mode, but they are not currently able to be selected in single-player or multiplayer.
