McDonald’s introducing all-day breakfast menu
McDonald’s has planned to introduce all-day breakfast menu at few locations in San Diego starting April. The fast food giant said that it could expand the all-day breakfast menu at other locations if it is successful during its experiment in San Diego. Currently, McDonald’s serves breakfast till 10.30 am at most of the locations.
Most of the customers like the items served by McDonald’s in the breakfast menu. Adding them to the order list for full day makes sense as it could improve sales at the biggest fast food company in the world.
Earlier, McDonald’s had rejected the idea of increasing the timing for breakfast menu citing limit grill space as main reason. With improved sales for breakfast menu items at Taco Bell, McDonald’s management had to think seriously about adding the breakfast menu items on a full-day segment.
McDonald’s spokeswoman Terri Hickey informed, “We look forward to learning from this test, and it’s premature to speculate on any outcomes. We’re excited to serve our customers in this area some of McDonald’s great-tasting breakfast sandwiches, hash browns and other favorites all day long.”
McDonald’s uses grill for many items on its menu. It could lead to operational issues at some locations. However, if the tests result in improvement in sales, McDonald’s will add the option to other restaurants shortly.
McDonald’s is facing stiff competition from other fast food chains. The company management is trying hard to improve the market position of McDonald’s in the markets it operates across the world.
