Apple’s latest developer beta for iOS 8.3 expands Siri support to more languages
Technology major Apple’s latest developer beta for iOS 8.3 includes support for more languages with Apple’s Siri voice-controlled digital assistant.
According to reports, Siri will support a total of seven more languages in the latest developer beta for iOS 8.3. These languages include Russian, Danish, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Turkish, Thai, and English for India.
The support for the mentioned seven languages with Siri will come over and above Siri’s already impressive catalog of supported languages. At present, the languages which Siri is capable of understanding include American, UK and Australian English; as well as French, German, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Italian, and Japanese.
The users of the latest developer beta for iOS 8.3 will be able to change language settings in Siri by accessing the Siri settings panel on iPhone and iPad.
Meanwhile, with regard to the launch of the iOS 8.3 version, a recent 9to5Mac report has revealed that “Apple intends to release the upcoming iOS 8.3 as a public beta via the company’s existing AppleSeed program in mid-March. This release will match the third iOS 8.3 beta for developers, which is planned for release the same week.”
