Wearables, 3D printers, drones, VR headsets expected to dominate 2015 CES
Nearly 3,500 vendors will be exhibiting their latest gadgets and innovations at the forthcoming 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week. The CES event will commence on January 6, and will run through January 9.
Going by the reports, the key focus of tech giants and startup displaying their products at the 2015 CES will be more on improving on the ideas already out in the marketplace, rather than on introducing any notable brand new technologies.
The 2015 CES will largely be dominated by product categories like high-fashion wearable devices; more consumer-friendly 3D printers; drones; and improved virtual reality (VR) headsets.
In addition, other significant product categories which will reportedly be displayed widely at the CES event this year include TVs, especially new Quantum Dot TVs to be unveiled by LG and TCL; two-in-1 laptops and all-in-1 desktops; cameras; music players; smartphones; tablets; and cars and new innovative car technologies.
Another important category which will apparently grab a lot of attention at the CES event will be the `Internet of Things' category, which essentially comprises `smart home' products and appliances that are connected to the Web.
