Bad Weather Conditions caused Delay in Launch of Falcon 9 Rocket

Bad weather conditions in Florida again caused delay in launch of a Falcon 9 rocket carrying six communications satellites for Orbcomm Inc.(ORBC. O) on Friday. The Space Exploration Technologies, SpaceX, has recently revealed that the technical glitches in the rocket caused the rescheduling the launch of the privately owned company satellite.

The company reported surprising change in pressure readings in the second stage engine of the rocket.

The Orbcomm Inc., a provider of machine-to-machine data and messaging services worldwide, announced that the next launch of the spacecraft will be at 5:30 P. M EDT/2130 GMT on Sunday. In order to put the six Orbcomm satellites into their designated orbits at distance of 500 miles above Earth, SpaceX mission has set flight timing of 53 minutes.

The California-based company has decided not to broadcast the press and the public. Also, the company ordered the cancellation of its webcast and commentary about the Sunday's launch countdown.

Earlier, the company did not explain the cause of fluctuating rocket tank pressures which caused delay in the launch of the rocket. Also, the SpaceX provided no online updates or tweets throughout the launch window on the countdown's status.

The Orbcomm Inc. has also suffered multiple delays in the launch of its first six of 17 satellites due to issues with the rocket, spacecraft and range in April. It has been reported that the company will launch another commercial satellite from Cape Canaveral in mid-July on success of this mission.
