Amazon’s new Kindle Voyage e-reader available for pre-order starting at $199

In a recent announcement, online retail giant Amazon has revealed that its fantastic new ebook reader - the Amazon Kindle Voyage - is now available for pre-order. The cost of the new Kindle Voyage is $199 for the Wi-Fi version with Special Offers; and an additional $70 for the 3G cellular model.

The Kindle Voyage is the best e-reader from Amazon thus far, and it also apparently is the best e-reader currently available on the market.

Boasting a slim and attractive overall design, the new Kindle Voyage e-reader features an astoundingly sharp, scratch-resistant glass display, as well as an extremely handy adaptive front light. In addition, it comes with the advantage of Amazon's wonderful ebook store.

The 6.3-ounce Kindle Voyage e-reader measures 6.4 by 4.5 by 0.30 inches (HWD); and comes with 4GB of storage capacity, which is sufficient for storing more than 2,000 books. So far as file support is concerned, the Kindle Voyage is capable of handling not only Amazon's own Kindle format (AZW and AZW3), but also DOC, DOCX, HTML, MOBI, PDF, and TXT files.

The Kindle Voyage comes with a black USB cable, but there is no AC adapter available with the e-reader. Going by Amazon's claims, the battery life of the Voyage is up to six weeks of usage, based on half an hour of reading a day with the light set to 10 and the wireless off.
