Latest Apple iWatch rumors surface online
With the `iWatch' name having been trademarked by Apple across the world, and with Apple CEO having said in a recent statement that the tech giant will foray into "exciting new product categories" this year, rumor-mills have been abuzz about the possible emergence of an Apple smartwatch this year.
According to iWatch-related reports making rounds of late, Apple will likely unveil the much-rumored smartwatch in the fiscal third-quarter. It is also being speculated that the iWatch will likely be priced at $299.
Among the noteworthy reports pertaining to the iWatch is a recent Wall Street Journal disclosure that the Apple smartwatch will be launched in different sizes, apparently because the company would like to cater to the widest range of consumers and tastes possible.
Giving a similar hint, Korean news site Chosun Ilbo has revealed in a report that the iWatch will come in three different sizes --- 1.5 inches, 1.4 inches, and 1.3 inches. An unidentified Reuters source has also disclosed that the smartwatch will feature a 2.5-inch display diagonally.
Meanwhile, with regard to iWatch's battery life, an AppleInsider report claims that the smartwatch will have a 200-250mAh battery, to promote battery savings. The New York Times, meanwhile, has speculated that iWatch battery will likely be powered by alternative methods, including solar power and kinetic energy.
