AT&T announces new $39-per-month bundle that includes Amazon Prime
In a recent announcement, AT&T and Amazon have revealed that they have worked out a partnership to bring streaming video service to Amazon Prime.
As a result of the deal, AT&T is offering a new $39 monthly plan which bundles Amazon Prime with Internet broadband access. The plan - which will be available only for one year as an introductory deal - also includes HBO as well as AT&T's version of basic cable.
Customers who sign up for a 12-month contract for AT&T's new $39-per-month bundle will be able to avail the advantage of one year of free Amazon Prime, along with U-basic TV, HBO and HBO Go, and U-verse Internet Max Plus. After the expiry of the one-year contract for the bundle, customers will have to pay standard rates.
The new $39-per-month bundle being offered by AT&T is apparently the first Internet package deal which includes one year of Amazon's Prime service, which normally costs $99 per year in the US. The Amazon Prime service not only gives customers the access to the company's Prime Instant Video service, but also beings along the benefit of 'free shipping' on millions of Amazon products.
About the new bundle, AT&T said in a statement that the bundle "allows customers to benefit from significant savings, the ability to watch popular content across their devices and surf with faster broadband speeds."
