AT&T will also offer HTC One M8 for Windows
In an official press release issued late Tuesday, AT&T has revealed that it will also offer HTC's new flagship handset - the HTC One M8 for Windows.
The revelation by AT&T implies that Verizon Wireless will not be the exclusive carrier to offer the new HTC One M8 Windows Phone-based handset, as was being projected in some earlier reports.
Similar to the HTC One M8 version already available for the Verizon network, the AT&T variant of the handset will also have the same specifications as the Android-based model of the handset. However, the AT&T version of the handset will run Microsoft's Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, complete with the company's Cortana personal digital assistant.
Meanwhile, though AT&T has disclosed in its press release that it will also sell the stunning HTC One M8 Windows Phone handset, the carrier has not yet revealed either the pricing or the availability of the device on its network.
The HTC One M8 is an all-metal clad smartphone flagship which is a highly impressive device to make its way to the Windows Phone platform. Though the launch of the Windows Phone-based version of the handset has come after much speculation, the device has instantly become the best smartphone on that platform.
