General Motors Announces More Recalls
General Motors has added five new recalls in the local market and one recall for some Cadillac sedans in the markets outside United States. The latest recalls in the US market include Saturn VUE crossover, Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, Chevrolet Impala, Chevrolet Aveo and Spark vehicles.
The current set of recalls includes nearly 270,000 vehicles in the local market. In the latest recall, nearly 202,000 Saturn VUE Crossover SUVs due to ignition key cylinder problem. The company has recalled some other vehicles for similar issue earlier as well. The vehicles manufactured during 2002 and 2004 will be covered under current recall. Due to this issue, GM has received two crash reports and one injury.
Among other recalls, 48,000 Cadillac ATS four-door sedans and 2013 Buick Encores have been found with front seat belt pretensioner cable problem.
GM has also issued recall for 15,000 Chevrolet Impala Sedans for front console storage compartment issue in case of rear crash. No injuries have been reported due to this issue.
The company has also recalled 1,968 Chevrolet Aveo and 2009 Pontiac G3. The fifth recall has been issued for 1,919 Chevrolet Sparks to correct the lower control arm bolts, which have been tightened incorrectly.
